Our Sanary & Bandol Tour includes:
- Start your tour with a scenic drive along the coast of Provence on your way to Sanary. You will admire the marvels of Provence gazing at the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean and the rambling hills covered with pine trees forests.
- Arriving in Sanary-sur-Mer, you will explore this enchanting 16th century town with your guide-lecturer. Unlike most beaches on the Riviera, Sanary-sur-Mer is open and active year round. With only 60 days of rain, it has been called the sunniest place in France. Wander around the pretty harbor set in the heart of the town and home to old Provencal fishing boats. On the port the 13th century tower offers panoramic views from the top.
- Continue on your journey to your second destination of Bandol. Encircled by hills in a sheltered bay, Bandol is known for its wine since the Roman Empire, for its great weather and peaceful setting. The promenade, which surrounds the harbor, is lined with palm trees, pastel painted houses, cafés and restaurants, and offers an attractive walk. Take a stroll down to the beach and you can see the magnificent limestone creeks that dot the coastline from Bandol up to Marseille while the harbor hosts impressive yachts. The bustling market in the center of town offers a bounty of fresh seafood, flowers, fruits and local sweets.
- Do not leave Bandol without tasting some of its Rosé or Red wines. The Bandol wines are know all over the world as some of the best in the South of France.
