Perfect tour ! –
We chose this tour because we wanted to see the asylum of Van Gogh and the exhibition at Les Baux de Provence.
I must admit that the tour was beyond our expectations. Our guide Romain was incredibly knowledgeable and knew all about the life of Van Gogh.
We were also amazed by the Roman heritage in the area and had time to stop at an olive oil farm.

Flore was a very good driver and clearly wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable experience.
When asked she provided historical information but she does not give a traditional guided tour. She was fantastic at knowing where to park in order to minimize walking crowds and waiting in lines.

Saint Remy or Les Baux? –
Saint Remy de Provence is a very beautiful town with little shops and art galleries that are definitely worth a visit.
Les Baux de Provence is certainly more exotic and picturesque but it is so touristy that it has lost some of its soul and charm.

For those of you searching the internet like I was to find the right tour company, LOOK NO FURTHER! Provence Private Tours took care of our every need. Romain was helpful in deciding which tours to take and on the spot when we had last minute questions. We did this on our second day and again our guide was Guy. He is exceptional! You cannot go to Provence and not see Carrieres des Lumieres! If it isn’t on your bucket list, it should be! We were able to add a quick stop to an Olive Oil Farm for olive oil tasting at CastelineS. They will even ship their oils home so you don’t have to get an extra suitcase! Lunch in San Remy was fantastic! And the Van Gogh asylum was utterly moving! Guys knowledge about the region was fantastic! Since we don’t speak much French his help was priceless!!
